How many Chinese famous Railways do you know?
Over 70 years of development, China's railways are intertwined and integrated with the country, the nation, and the people. Chinese railway workers keep forging ahead in the process of tempering, and keep moving forward in the process of making progress. Chinese railway workers have won one success after another with their own efforts, helping the development of the society, and showing the connotation of "China's name card".
(1) Nanning-Kunming Railway
Nanning-Kunming Railway
Nanning-Kunming Railway--the most beautiful and steep trunk line. The Nanning-Kunming Railway starts from Nanning in the East, Kunming in the West, and Hongguo in the North, with a total length of 899.7 km. It is a National first-class electrified railway trunk line connecting Guangxi, Guizhou, and Yunnan. Along the way, there are high gorges and deep valleys, and beautiful landscapes. Many world firsts and Asian firsts were created on the Nankun Railway. These include the world’s highest railway bridge ─ ─ Qingshui River Bridge, Asia’s most dangerous tunnel ─ ─ Jiazhujing Tunnel, Asia’s first wall── Shitouzhai Station Anchor-Pulled Brick Wall, the longest single-track electrified tunnel── Mihualing Tunnel.

(2) Southern Xinjiang Railway

Southern Xinjiang Railway--half of the "flame" and half of the "iceberg" railway. The Southern Xinjiang Railway passes through the Turpan Basin, one of the lowest landmass, and enters the Tianshan Mountains. One place is extremely hot and the other is extremely cold. The total length of the railway is 476 km. Except for the Gobi desert and saline lands, more than half of the Southern Xinjiang Railway is deep mountains and valleys, and the curve occupies 80%.

The Chengdu-Kunming Railway runs through Chengdu to Kunming, with a total length of 1085 kilometers. One-third of the road section is in the earthquake area. The mountains along the line are high and deep, the river is rapid, the geology is complex, and the climate is changeable. It cuts through hundreds of mountains and builds tunnels. There are 427 bridges and 653 bridges erected. The total length of bridges and tunnels is over 400 kilometers, with an average of one bridge for every 1.7 kilometers and one tunnel for every 2.5 kilometers. The arduous engineering of Chengdu-Kunming Railway is rare in the construction of railways in the world,it is one of third the miracles.

(4) Baotou-Lanzhou Railway

Baotou-Lanzhou Railway is a National Railway Class I passenger and freight railroad from Baotou Station to Lanzhou Station in China, with a total length of 990 kilometers. 140 kilometers of it travel through the desert, traversing the edge of the Tengger Desert.

(5) Beijing-Kowloon Railway
Beijing-Kowloon Railway
The Beijing-Kowloon Railway is a Class I national railway connecting Beijing to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The railway runs from North to South and connects North China, Central China, East China, and South China. It was the second-largest in China after the Three Gorges Hydropower Station on the Yangtze River. The project is also the longest double-track railway with the largest investment and built-in once in China.

 (6) Danyang-Kunshan section of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway
Dankun Railway Bridge
The Danyang-Kunshan section of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway is a super large railway bridge with the longest length of 164.851 kilometers. It takes 2 hours to drive through. The total investment is 30 billion yuan and consists of more than 4,500 900-ton box girders. The Dankun Railway Bridge is the longest railway bridge in China and the longest bridge in the world in the Guinness Book of World Records!

(7) Xinguanjiao Tunnel (Qinghai-Tibet Railway)
Qinghai-Tibet Railway
The Xinguanjiao Tunnel is the longest high-altitude tunnel in the world and the longest tunnel in China, with a total length of 32.645 kilometers. Can you imagine how difficult to construct so long a tunnel? The project was fully started on November 6, 2007. After nearly seven years, the project was completed on April 15, 2014.
